Around a month ago, my friend invited me to the crybaby tour show in Heaven, London and I quickly took the opportunity up as a relatively new fan of hers! Plus who could say no to a show in Heaven, that’s awesome!
Now, if you’re a fan like me, you’ll know that she’s known for her quirky songs and kooky set ups on stage and I was not disappointed at all! The stage was arranged like a nursery room and she came on dancing in what looked like a cute lolita style dress (I couldn’t get through all the hardcore fans to really get close enough).
As I listen to predominantly metal and rock, you can imagine I was pretty lost as to how to dance to this sort of music as it certainly wasn’t mosh suitable! I had to resign to belting out all the lyrics with the rest of the crowd as well as miming stupid actions to all of her songs with my friend and her brother who I attended with!
All in all, I would rate the experience 3.8/5 due to the fact I had to watch most of the show through other people desperately trying to get shaky footage of the show on their phones! However the audio was insanely good due to the club set up and I was more than entertained by her crazy dancing up on stage to care about the guy singing off tune in my ear!
My friend Ellie directed me to this app on the Apple AppStore – the basis of it is that you record 1 second of your day every day (or in my case, use live photos too because the iPhone 6S live photos are gifts from God) so that you have a calendar full of video memories.
I immediately fell in love with this app the minute I got it as my life certainly isn’t a jam packed as it would need to be if I was a full on vlogger so this is perfect for me. I find these little videos hilariously quirky and a great way to share my month with people I never see in an easy to focus on format and without taking too much of their time.
Now I will be the first to say that I completely screwed up April by not filming everything horizontally (ie using live photos from the day when I forgot to film) but because I enjoyed it so much I’m going to endeavour to film something every day – which will also encourage me to film something interesting or search for something to film to fill my day. Of course you can cheat and add videos from other days – of which I will try to limit myself because let’s face it, no one’s days are all thrilling are they?
Hope you enjoy my April
I went to Berlin with my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary last week for 5 days and I practically fell in love all over again…with the city!
Now I promise that I will upload more content about my trip there as we did so much and there was so much to see but for now I just wanted to share this time lapse that I took while walking along east side gallery which is the site of the largest stretch of remains left of the Berlin Wall.
Walking beside the wall really got me thinking about the way people back in the day would have felt about this huge barrier and how for some perhaps walking where I was would have felt complete normal to them. It sure was an incredibly strange feeling and I recommend this particular journey for anyone who has the time in Berlin as it really was thought provoking and the art was both controversial and breath taking l.
I’ve been told before that people literally see the red brown of Costa and automatically think of me. People literally associate me with the trademark colour because I’m just that damn obsessed. My hair is even the same colour sometimes (I associate the colour with good vibes myself). It’s even a vital part of my outfits as you can see above dear reader
I’d say that I pretty much uphold Costa as a business due to how much I provide them to the extent that they don’t need advertising…they just need me. There’s even one outside my uni and I’ll be damned if I don’t get my vanilla latte every Friday to get me through the day. Honestly I’m obsessed and it’s not even a problem to encompass that particular white girl stereotype! Even my perfect date includes coffee at some point, it’s Costa or nothing friends. Provide a coffee? Instant friend. It doesn’t take a lot truly.
As far as addictions go I’d say Costa coffee is a pretty good one to have…what do you think?
I’ve lived on the edge of London for my entire life so often I take the touristy places for granted. Ask any life long resident from London about the best tourist destinations and I assure you they probably haven’t been there because you never have to be a tourist in your own city. A friend […]
Not long ago now me and two of my housemates took a lil’ trip down to Shoreditch to visit the London Cat Village one of London’s cat cafes.
Let me tell you this was possibly the cutest experience of my life. You’re welcomed by an array of rare breeds and a pair of slippers to wear around the place with some zen as it gets music while you nibble on cakes and have some tea (or rather try and keep it away from the cats). Despite the place being filled with kitties it’s extremely clean and the food tastes great to boot.
As you can see I became mother cat to the resident American Curl there who happily rolled over in my arms and swooned over how damn cute and fluffy the thing was and my housemate (ironically named Cat) had another cute critter climb into her lap and hide in her scarf. ADORABLE.
As a frequent pet owner and lover of animals this was perfect for me who was feeling pretty pet deprived as I can’t actually own animals on the house I stay in. Seems that I’ll need regular visits to keep myself soothed.
100/10 would visit again and potentially become a permanent resident crazy cat lady
